Adding Some Pretties!

Finally hanging some pictures again . . . it's actually looking normal around here for a change . . . lol!

My Mom brought these canvas prints by Kelly Rae Roberts for me.  They were given to me as birthday presents.  I decided to hang them together and I love the location of them, just enough light to compliment them.

This is a small oil painting I found at a church rummage sale, lots of pretty shades of green in it, looks so pretty under the Tiffany lamp.

I found these "drift wood gray" colored shadow boxes at Target and decided to display some of my cross stitch projects in them.  They look great in the den with the canoe rentals wood display.

Added a pretty reading lamp also above the couch or should I say above Rexy's favorite sitting place.  Have a great Monday blogland friends!

Adding some more goodies to the homestead . . . decorating is always fun!

Loving my new kitchen and having so much fun buying new "toys" aka appliances for it.  My new Kitchen Aid coffee maker arrived this morning.  Its a unique, different kind of coffee maker, "pour over coffee brewer".  This coffee maker only brews eight cups at a time, would have preferred twelve cups, especially when entertaining.     Yes, the coffee does taste much better. It does take a little longer to brew.  We're still shopping for a new microwave, the white one is looking a little dated.

I've added some additional pictures to the entry.  I've had these two prints forever.  I bought them at a estate sales years ago with my Mom.  I never did anything with the frames as far as replacing them.  Left them just as they were when I bought them.  The dresser is black also, very complimenting.

Oh . . .  almost forgot to mention we finally got the tile.  It took forever to get here.  We waited over four months.  It's tile with with the look of hardwood flooring, the color is called "Eco Wood Copper".  We are excited to get it installed in the kitchen, entry, hallway and both bathrooms.  Installation will take place in two weeks, Yes!

Sweet touches around the homestead . . . feeling like home again :O)

I finally get to decorate a little and you know how much I love to do that.  Haven't been able to sew or create something lately.  Before you know it, Fall will be here again and you all know how excited I get around that time of year. I added some goodies to the new kitchen and also opened up the entry a little bit.

Always have to have a little cross stitch around, it puts a smile on my face . . . I made this when Rexy and I first started dating  . . . I have always loved the water, Rexy and I spent alot of time at the beach when we first met

Jennifer, my bestie, gave me this Tiffany night light years ago and it still works, love it against the tile, looks perfect and the colors are so pretty

I cross stitch this sweet little cake for my baking counter, Fall is always a perfect time for baking, got to be ready

This  black dresser has always sat in my entry, it's got a new place now. Rexy loves to be out in the yard, thought I would do a garden theme for the dresser

On the rode again . . . always a good time :O)

Rexy and I joined our ADA group for a unique adventure  . . . we rode the bikes to Chino Hills and visited a hindu temple.  The name of the temple is "Mandir", a place of love, peace and harmony.  It is all hand carved by individuals in India who have volunteered their time.  Individual pieces were carved by hand and shipped to the USA and assembled in Chino Hills.  Absolutely beautiful inside, unfortunately no pics were allowed inside the temple.

Afterwards, we were all hungry and decided to take a ride up to Mt. Baldy Lodge and have lunch on the patio.  Always lots of fun with Mike and Bev, Steve, Jim and Jane, as usual the food is always good.  I feel very blessed to be enjoying this life of mine so much :O)
