Are you ready for Valentine's Day . . . some sweets!

My gosh . . . times flies, Valentine's Day is just around the corner,  already another year has passed.  I always give my kids candy for Valentine's Day, one year I wrote them "love letters" when they were all little . . . they have never forgotten those letters, it sounded so silly to do, but I'm so glad I did :O)

Feeling Sick

The flu has arrived and sick in bed  . . . I was so excited to start this new year 2012 . . go figure, too funny. Anyways, my sister Deb brought over some chicken soup tonight for dinner and it was delicious . . . Debbie loves to cook and bake, so of course, the chicken soup was homemade, even better.

New Beginning . . . Yes:O)

This will be a year of new beginnings for me.  It's been almost two years since Dave aka Mr. Grumpy has passed away.  I really did not realized that until my sister Debbie pointed that out to me ( I can always count on my sister to shed some light into my life . . . thank you Debbie). Time to move on and get into life again.  I always try to encourage others and try to focus on being positive but when it comes to myself . . . forget it.  When you lose your spouse that you been married to forever . . you literally feel lost, everything changes.  I'm definitely tired of grieving that boy.  I was a little scare to move forward and face the unknown, but I want to do it now.  Believe me, it took a long time to get here :O)

Being Grateful

Looking over the pics from Christmas 2011, I came across this pic and the presents sure looked so pretty under the tree. Christmas 2011 for the Jacobson family was a simple celebration.  I was not able to buy my kids as much as I wanted to, but was happy with what I did buy them. Boy, I'm sure glad I got through this one.  I know I got some good kids, they were all so thankful.  Thank you God for these blessings :O)
