It's a girl kind of thing❤

It's always fun getting together with the family for a visit  . . . especially when it's just the girls!
Cassandy and I set up a date with Chris my sister-in-law and niece Sarah.  We met at Downtown Disney and had so much fun just talking and catching up.

We stop in for a bite at "Tortilla Joe's", yum yum, the food was delicious.  As usual we ate too many chips and salsa and of course, a Starbucks visit.  It's amazing how much time goes by, I think all of us just wanted to catch up with each other.  Everyone looked so good, which is always nice to see :O)

The day was sort of overcast, but that certainly didn't bring us down.  As some of you know, I love to make presents for my friends and family, so of course, I made some paper art creations.

This one above I made for Cassandra, my daughter.  I want her to hold these kinds of times together,  special, good reminder.

Sarah my niece has her own interior design business, I thought this one below would be pretty for her office.  It's cheerful looking.

This one above I made for my sweet sister-in-law, Chris, so bless to have her in my family.  It's always a peaceful visit and something I always look forward to.  Blessings :O)

Colossians 3:16  "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

Hope . . . don't give up!

Why do we "hope" so much?  Is it always for something better?  I think that's why I have this obsession to open and celebrate a new season all the time.  I change my bird rack in the kitchen every season, it's so important to me and I don't really know why.  I feel I'm always trying to make my surroundings a better place, why do I care so much?

I came across this statement on Pinterest and want to share it  . . . .

"The world is dark right now.  The people are broken.  Hope is fading and our leaders are growing weak.  Here it doesn't make sense.  But, if we look up, we are reminded that we are playing a role in a much bigger story.  Be the light for a world that seems so dark".

These little decorations in my home bring me so much peace, they remind me of what's important and not to spend so much energy on negativity.  Be happy, be positive and make a difference . . .  if you can.

I made this cross stitch not to long after my husband Dave passed away.  May is his birthday month and he did make a difference in this world and yes he was very positive  . . . definitely an awesome person to be around and what an amazing sense of humor he had.  In our household we laughed everyday, seriously, even when his health was not in his favor and started declining.

People come and go in our lives and they all leave a little residue behind.  Dave was a fighter to the very end. Thank you Dave for teaching me not to give up and by the way  . . . Happy Birthday!

Something is pecking around here . . .

Setting up some chickens today  . . . not real ones, but these look pretty real . . . don't they?  Rexy surprised me with the hen and I had to go back and get the rooster.  These guys are just too cute together, aren't they?  They're sitting on the shelf in our dining area of the kitchen. There designed to hang over the edge of the shelf like that.   Rexy and I seem to like lots of animals around the house.  Sort of like  . . . Life on the farm . . . LOL!  Hope you are having a blessed Friday today :O)

Is it too early to say . . . Spring?

I finally have a "me room" for myself again  . . . boy did I miss it.  Loving that I actually have the room to decorate again for the different seasons.  Well, I thought I would do a little decorating for Spring time this morning.  Here in California we have had so much rain, we actually have a sunny day again and it feels so good to see the Sun shining again.  Rain can get depressing after awhile for sure.

I got these super cute honeycomb style easter eggs a couple of years ago and found them earlier this year when I was unpacking some boxes.  I only have three of them, small, medium and large.  Loving the look of them, hoping they don't fade after awhile, but that might look nice too.  Anyways, I need to fill my rabbit jar with some jelly beans or chocolate eggs . . . yum yum!

I thought I would also fill the bottom basket with some colored plastic Easter eggs . . . time to go to JoAnns for a Easter hunt.  Hope you are all enjoying your day.  Blessings!

Sweet Valentines For My Loves!

Last Saturday, we picked up my Mom for breakfast.  We had breakfast at Guasti's Homestyle Cafe in Chino.  It's always a treat there, the food is delicious and generous.  One plate can feed two people easily.  My Mom is 86 years young and looks fantastic.  She is as sharp as a pencil still too.  I made some Valentines for my Mom and Sister Debbie, felted hearts with some rolled felt roses.  I added some vintage ribbon on the mustard colored heart that I gave my Mom from my prized collection that my wonderful sister-in-law, Chris gave me a few years ago.  I only used these ribbons for special creations.

I couldn't resist making a mustard heart for my own heart collection at home  . . . LOL!

Hope you all have a beautiful Valentines Day this year . . . make sure to kiss your special love ones!
