Got my oldest son off to Colorado yesterday . . . sort of bittersweet. Davey was promoted to Digital Media at USA Rugby and will be working out of the national office located in Boulder, Colorado. Hopefully it won't be too cold in Colorado for him. Saying good bye is always hard, but I'm so very happy for him.
These boys of mine have more drama in them than my daughter, packing the car was an adventure for sure. I couldn't tell by this pic if Davey was happy or mad.
As life happens, Davey had to moved back home a couple of years before his Dad passed away. Funny how God had a plan. When he returned home it wasn't a good thing that happened. Davey's returned home unhappily unemployed. Eventually he did find employment in a blue collar position as a bartender/waiter, tips were good and it paid the bills. Davey wanted to do Public Administration originally. While home he decided to return to college to complete his Masters, he took an interest in IT and decided to seek employment in a different field all together. He did have alot of down time and I'm glad he was able to spend a lot of time with his Dad. He couldn't understand why all of this happened but he sure does now. For a while I started to get a little bit concerned about Davey's situation, but was happy Davey was there to help out after his Dad passed away. Thank you baby . . . God is good :O)
oh, dear Sandy... things are falling into place for your children. I am happy for Davey. Love how you shared about him, because it helps me know your family more - Praying for God's favor and protection over him as he travels to Colorado. Now you have another son to visit in another State... Shalom, Lidia
ReplyDeleteDear Sandy,
ReplyDeleteI feel what you are going through. I know it's where he needs to be, and I am incredibly proud of him. My heart is always with him, though.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful note today! I am so proud of Alexandra and Mark and Project ReMind!
