Motorcycle Road Trip

So glad we returned safely from our motorcycle trip to Eureka, California returning home down the coastline.  Absolutely just too much fun and scary at the same time.  Going 70 to 80 miles an hour can be intimidating sometimes I would think.  I literally took a chance at 57 years old and thought I would try it, so glad I did.  Riding with Rex's bike club is all about the miles you put in, so I didn't get to do to much shopping, but definitely a lot of site seeing.  Total mileage for the road trip was 1475 miles and I have a sore booty to prove it.   The Redwoods were beautiful!  We would leave as early as 7:00 AM in the morning, bundling up and taking off in the fog, a little cold at times, but definitely worth it.  Drove over the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.  Too foggy to even take a pic, too hard to see anything. Definitely was cold, I remember that.  Eating breakfast at Alice's Restaurant in Half Moon Bay was an experience to remember, so pretty up that way.  We ran into some rain coming through Santa Barbara, got a little wet but dried off coming through Ventura, got a little warm to say the least.  Hoping to post some more pics from Rex's camera soon.  Our next road trip will be on the 16th of this month, one day trip to Santa Barbara to visit Stearns Wharf.  Getting excited all over again . . . LOL!

That's me with a scarf over my face to protect it from the wind and sun.  Got a little warm at times but no sunburn and that's a good thing . . . in the Redwoods. Took this pic with my cell phone while riding up hill about 50 to 60 miles an hour, that was a challenge to say the least.

Having breakfast at Denny's with Jon and Joe.

Stopping for lunch, still a little foggy outside.

This was taken over Rex's shoulder, coming out of Half Moon Bay.
