Creating Some Fun Stuff

I absolutely love butterflies . . . . can't seem to get enough of them.  Couple of months ago I bought one of those Jim Holtz assemblage clocks.  Went to Michael and bought some paper and stickers, some ribbon and tried my best to create something.  Haven't really done something like this in awhile . . . got to get back into it again, seem to be a little rusty :O)

Shopping at Michaels, stickers and things . . .

Attempting to put something together.  Jennifer my sweet friend gave me some beautiful butterfly stickers (3-D vellum style).  I wanted to use them for something special.

The background is a pattern of shades of blue, beige and tan.  I added a "happy" button sticker along with two paper light blue flowers.  The ribbon I used was from Christmas last year, light nile green color, wired ribbon.  Super simple :O)

The season of my life right now is beautiful.  A butterfly to me represents "New Beginning".   I thought this saying was perfect!

Is it that time again . . . Fall :O)

Ok, already getting excited  . . . it's that time again Fall!  Started adding some touches of Fall around the Homestead.  I've already cross stitched a Halloween ornament which I will share in a post a little later.  Fall brings such wonderful memories of my children aka adult children when they were growing up.  As a Mother's view I don't think they ever grow up, sometimes so hard to let go too.  Wishing for grandchildren and still waiting . . . these kids are all career oriented for now.  Here's couple of pics, will post more later.  Blessings!

This time with PURPOSE

I've wanted for a while to create something special which would represent my relationship with Rexy.  Just completed a new cross stitch by Blackbird Designs called "Moonlight Visitor".  I decided to date it 2014 when Rexy and I came together.  The moth actually looks like a butterfly to me which represents NEW BEGINNINGS and the house represents LIFE, the tree represents GROWTH and the heart in the left hand corner represents LOVE . . . how appropriate could this one be for us :O)

Need to find the perfect frame to put it in  . . . dark espresso color maybe, I think that might look pretty.  Tell me what you think?  Blessings :O)

p.s. Can't quite figure out what the dog would represent in our relationship . . . hmmm!
