Some touches of Spring . . time around the homestead :O)

Some pink and gray applique stitchery . . always fun to create.

It's amazing how much color books give when you remove the paper cover.  This is not the greatest pic, but these books look so pretty in different shades of green.

Always time for tea you know !

Davey's Request

I love to spoil these kids of mine  . . Davey has been asking me to make him some "Bacon-wrapped Stuffed JalepeƱos", they're filled with cream cheese.  Thought I would do some with hamburgers tonite. They are yum-yum.

This is what they looked like going into the oven tonite. Definitely, high calorie and heart-attack material.  Ok, life is short, lets enjoy these :O)

Doll Love . . .

Been wanting to make a doll again . . . they never seem to leave my heart.  There always fun to do.

The quilting fabric I found earlier looked a little plain, so I decided to add a skirt underneath her dress,  something cute and fun and little blooming with flowers.  I also added some velvet moss ribbon above her waist along with a little bird's nest with some eggs too.  The nest is attached to a flag with an "S" on it to represent Spring and some aqua colored seam binding.

Something sweet to cross-stitch . . .

I've been finding the cutest pics and inspiration on Pinterest lately . . .

I found the pic above on Pinterest, I believe it's from Country Living Magazine.  It inspired me to put a small grouping of stitchery together.  I found this vintage Mother's Day card below and fell in love with it.  This vintage card was from a posting on The Vintage Moth blog.  I thought I would try to cross-stitch it.  I really enjoyed this, putting the colors together is always the fun part of the project.  This is not quite complete but it is turning out so pretty. I added some french knots to it for little flower touch, the size is 3 X 5, sort of has a colonial touch to it.

Here some pics of the progress, haven't really shopped for any frames yet.  Hoping I can find some vintage ones.

A little Valentine love . . .

Cassandra is my youngest one in the bunch . . . I always love to surprise her with something cute for Valentine's Day.  So I created a "wiener dog" for her Valentine's treat.  This little guy turned out so cute . . take a peek :O)

Are you ready for Valentine's Day?

You all know how I love to adore my kids (big kids I should say) . . I have some of the best memories of Valentine's Day when they were growing up, done alot of fun things with them.  My big Valentine is no longer by my side and I haven't really dated yet since Dave has passed away, still undiscovered territory . . but it seems to be coming up in my mind lately.  Nothing is really planned for this Valentine's Day just yet.  What are your plans for Valentine's Day?

Yellow & Gray

Finally found some fabric that I liked for my next doll.  The quality of the fabric has changed so much. Not a whole lot out there that I like.   I'm actually using some quilters fabric for this doll.  I'm thinking yellow for Springtime, might add a little gray bunny for some fun.

Definitely will post some pics once completed . . . off to the sewing machine for now, Blessings :O)
