Christmas time is here

Christmas is here again . . . time to get out the decorations.  Ashamed to say but I started decorating the day after Thanksgiving. It sort of makes things happy around the household doesn't it.  I'm not an early shopper.  Tried that one year including matching the wrapping paper around my Christmas decorations.  I thought it would be great and so did not like it.  Something special happens around Christmas time, not knowing what to buy just sort of falls in place, things just sort of happen and everything comes together.  I love that about Christmas.  I know God plays a big role here.  Like they say its the magic of Christmas.  Something really special always seems to happen.

Pinterest love above . . .

I won't be hosting Thanksgiving this year . . . it's been a long time since my family and I've been invited to Thanksgiving Dinner.  The Jacobsons usually do the inviting.  Sort of a nice feeling you know.  Now I've got to decide which one I want to go to.  I think I'll be bringing a desert this year.  I have a recipe for "Pumpkin Crunch Cake" which is extremely addicting.  If you are a pecan lover, this is the one for you.  To all my blogging sisters have a beautiful Thanksgiving with your family.  Blessings xo

Where is it?

Can't seem to find my pedal for my sewing machine since the move  . . . this could be a major inconvenience this holiday season.  Looks like I might be in some big trouble without it.  Prayer request please  . . . that I find my pedal.

Happy Voting

Don't forget to go vote today  . . .  and good luck voting for the right one :O)

Little touches of Fall . . some memories too

Having some fun decorating with a little piece of cross stitch.  This cross stitch has to be about 20 years old.  I stitched it when my kiddos were little  . . . best memories:O).  When we were moving and cleaning out the garage,  I found this piece in a box. I just had to reframe it.  It couldn't be more perfect for Thanksgiving.

Well, well, well you wonder what's going to happen next . . . Hurricane Sandy.  I don't know how much I like that name.  Lots of prayer is going out to the people on the East Coast.  Hoping things get in order very quickly before the cold weather really starts to come.  People on the East Coast are definitely true Americans . . . TOUGH.

Took all my Halloween decorations down yesterday, put them all back in the boxes and will store them again for another year.  I replaced them with some more Fall decorations.  Time sure flies thats for sure.  Nothing stays the same forever . . . you can always count on change, whether you want it or not.

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, it makes me reflect on all the ups and downs that have taken place in our household and I realized how much God has been there through it all and has always fulfilled his word.  How grateful this makes me and how true his word really is.  If God is all you have, you have all you need . . . Sandy xo
