There is always time to go shopping for a new lipstick . . .

A new lipstick always makes everything new again  . . doesn't it?  Cassandra and I went shopping this past weekend at Brea Mall.  We went to Sephora.  Oh my gosh, there is so much to look at and dabble with at that store.  I was looking for a new shade of lipstick for Spring.  I found this wonderful lipstick by Buxom.  It goes on a little thick but I like the feeling, certainly not drying at all.  The name of the color is "Two Timer", sort of a funny name  . . love it.

My lazy Saturday . . . sewing, of course :O)

The only way I can start my day is coffee and lately Pinterest, along with some blogging too.  I thought I would finish two cross stitch projects I'm been working on lately.  Sewing rick rack trim for a pillow can be tricky sometimes. I've done this for years, but yet struggle at times. This one tried me, only had to pull the stitches out once on one side.  I used seam binding on the other cross stitch project and will used that as a pin cushion.  Both projects were backed with wool felt.  Time to stuff them now.  Hope you all are enjoying your weekend.  Blessings!

  

Easter Celebration

My family and I enjoyed an Easter dinner with some dear friends . . . that's Maddy in the pics above.  Maddy wanted to take some pics with us, I adore this little one.  She's got a big personality and funnier than anything.  She was at my place about a week ago and decided jumping on my bed was a fun thing to do.  This is the funny part, from the hallway she would get a running start and than would jump face first into the mattress laughing, all in her underwear.  Too funny :O) 

 The pic above is Cassandra and Jennifer, a dear friend.  This pic was taken outside during the egg hunt with the kids.  Maddy is Jennifer's baby.

Enjoying the time . . .

I seem to have more time on my hands lately, so I'm trying to make the best out of it.  I've been finishing projects I've left undone over the years.  Recently, I've been working on some cross stitch projects.  I decided to add some glass beads to a small cross stitch project, "Summer Iris" by Blackbird Designs. 

Thought I would include a pic of me and two of my kids, my youngest and oldest at Cassandra's Birthday dinner at Benihana's Restaurant last week.  We were expecting my middle son to be back in California but his work schedule did not allow it.  We sure did miss him at the birthday dinner.   We always have such a good time together.  Sometimes it could be hard when your kids live out of state.
