Family Time

Hey that my oldest son Davey, I took a pic of him in the car on our way to a family event in the valley Sunday.  It's always nice when our kids want to come.  Davey doesn't usually like to spend alot of time at family events, he finds it sort of boring, but I love it when all of us get together.  He's not one for taking pics,  I was sitting in the back taking this pic, he's too tall to sit in the back.

Lately, I know I've been blogging about my kids alot, it's probably because I know my nest is going to be empty pretty soon and that's going to be a big change for me.  One thing you can always count on is CHANGE nothing ever stays the same, certainly not in this life of mine.

But, I know I can always count on Buttons being here, as I'm typing this post, she laying right by my chair.  She's a sweetie!

  1. BOYS! They are so fun! For the emptynesters...It's an adjustment to be just the two of you. Another chapter in your story :) The best part is the celebrations when they come home and your family with start to double when they bring someone home with them! ENJOY! XO

  2. My step-son is like that...doesn't really like to get his picture taken. But lately, he's been more cooperative:) I have two out of the nest and two still in! Your Buttons is a cutie; we had a kitty once named Buttons;)

  3. Our 2 girls left the nest within a few months of each other, the house sure felt very weird for a few months. That was 16 years ago. Now we have a total of 7 grandchildren! Your Buttons is so sweet. ~Lili

  4. Well, you know how the kids are sometimes.
    I'm sure you had fun.
    Thanks for the visit!!
Where do I get all the energy you asked?
Well, I'm naturally kind of hyper, but coffee helps, and excercise too.
    Have a great day!!!

  7. I love it when you post about your personal life. I scrolled down a bit and read up your entries up to the last one I read about your Mother's Day Celebration.

Lovely Cassandra, and two young men. I understand what it must be like for you, with your nest soon becoming empty.

So you also have two boys and one girl, like me!

Love dogs, too... sometimes I find myself missing my dogs more than my family, when I'm away from them! I guess that's because my dogs never outgrow me...they love to be with me whatever it is that I am doing! And they are so loyal, and faithful, and sweet, and gentle, and give unconditional love!

Enough said...I enjoyed my visit here today! Thanks for stopping by my last blog post!

All the best to you and may God richly bless you today.

    Love
    Lidj
